Can we all appreciate Maura’s temperance here? I mean, Jane has no reason to answer her rudely. And yet Maura is all like «Yeah, yeah all right», and she lets it go. Maybe because she knows all the passive-agressiveness, it’s  just a defense mechanism for Jane, and she eventually feels sorry about her behavior. As she does in this scene, where, -without having a word from Maura’s-, she feels the need to explain herself and being sorry without being sorry. It’s all in the little details. You can’t bury your feelings that deep Jane.
